WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for a Senior Manager Mens & Womens Footwear Product Designin ACG Trail. The ideal designer is a curious observer eager participant and a cultural sponge seeking insights to solve problems. You leverage your outstanding design skills with creative problem solving to create innovative solutions that elevate the experience and key benefits relevant to the athletes and communities we serve.
The ideal candidate thrives on team collaboration and building functional working relationships to help bring the teams to successful project completion from concept to reality.
WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
Youll build innovative footwear designs that advance the product aesthetic and performance for our targeted consumer. Youll follow the of all product details including construction form color materials style fit and performance. Youll actively seek authoritative recommendations to develop designs with regard to cost/value requirements manufacturability sustainability merchandising and aesthetic finish.
WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH
Youll collaborate with design and management teams on innovative footwear concepts from brief to market. Youll connect with members in design development product management costing and engineering to ensure feasibility of designs while adhering to product creation timeline. Youll communicate and present design concepts to various internal and external audiences. Encouraging community and leading others are also expectations for this role. This role will have 1 direct report and will report to the Senior Design Director Mens & Womens ACG Apparel & Footwear Design.

WHAT YOU BRING
Bachelors Degree in product design or relevant design degree or a combination of relevant education experience and training.
- 8 plus years footwear design experience preferred
- Experience designing and developing innovative trail running footwear preferred
- Knowledge of form color materials human factors related to elevating the consumer experience
- Ability to translate consumer knowledge and insights into product solutions and narratives
- Experience in technical footwear design running design is a plus
- Strong Photoshop Illustrator skills
- Must be able to build accurate 2D technical drawings (tech packs)
- Cobbling and prototyping skills are a plus
- 3D design programs experience is a plus
- Strong sketching illustration and rendering skills
- Solid knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials
- Must be able to generate a broad range of concepts and solutions for each project
- Knowledge and experience with sustainable design and manufacturing are a plus
- Experienced with presentation programs: Keynote PowerPoint Acrobat etc.
