What youd be doing in this role
Canvas SEO is worldclass and were looking for a passionate SEO Outreach Specialist to join the International SEO team to help scale our next phase of growth in India! This is a 6month contract working fulltime. 40 hours a week).
The SEO Outreach Specialist will be responsible for building highquality backlinks that help to improve the SEO performance of important landing pages. You will work closely with the India SEO Country Lead (and our Global Outreach Lead) to set targets for the number of links needed to achieve topranking positions identifying the most appropriate linkbuilding tactics building lists of relevant prospects and executing the endtoend outreach process in order to secure highquality links.
We follow a completely whitehat approach to link building at Canva requiring adherence to strict quality guidelines. While building quality links can be challenging youll benefit from a wellestablished triedandtested playbook and ideation opportunities with the global outreach team.
As Canva scales change continues to be part of our DNA. But we like to think thats all part of the fun. The present description will give you the flavour of the type of things youll be working on when you start but this will likely evolve.
At the moment this role is focused on:
- Youll work with the SEO Country Lead (and Global Outreach Lead) to identify landing pages that would benefit from backlinks (on the Indiafocused English SEO pages that are currently www.canva as well as the SEO pages of our Hindi subfolder www.canva/hiin/ and agree targets for each campaign.
- For each campaign youll identify a list of backlink prospects following Canvas triedandtested outreach playbook.
- Youll write and send quality outreach emails tailored to the specific campaign and the prospect receiving the email.
- Youll actively develop and maintain relationships with website owners building an address book of contacts who can be leveraged for future campaigns.
- You will maintain reporting spreadsheets to keep track of progress towards goals and be responsible for communicating with your SEO Country Lead (and Global Outreach Lead) if you are not on track to reach goals.
- You will support the continual improvement of the global outreach strategy by sharing learnings and insights with the wider outreach team.
Youre probably a match if:
- A fluent Hindi speaker with businesslevel English.
- A positive enthusiastic people person with good written communication skills.
- Some experience working in a marketingrelated field such as sales PR media or SEO.
- Were a large team that relies on triedandtested processes to execute tasks quickly and efficiently. As such this role will suit someone with high attention to detail and the ability to closely follow detailed written instructions.
