Join our team as a Ventilation Lead Engineer
Location: Major Nuclear Site Cumbria UK
Project: Safe & Secure Nuclear Waste Storage & Decommissioning
The Project
Were working on a highimpact multidisciplined project focused on the safe storage and retrieval of nuclear waste designing cuttingedge facilities for longterm storage. Youll be a key player in shaping the future of nuclear safety and innovation working on everything from dismantling outdated plant items to designing new ventilation infrastructure.
The Role
As the Ventilation Lead Engineer youll:
Lead the design process through all project phases from validation to .
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless project delivery.
Oversee the creation of detailed drawings layouts flow diagrams and technical documentation.
Manage design deliverables for ventilation and building services ensuring timely highquality outputs.
Check calculations verify design details and maintain rigorous quality control.
Lead and support the ventilation team guiding them towards efficient costeffective solutions.
Coordinate project timelines to meet all objectives within scope time and budget.
Qualifications :
Essential Experience
Proven experience in highly regulated industries preferably nuclear.
Expertise in nuclear containment ventilation and system design.
Strong leadership skills in managing design teams and delivering complex projects.
Familiar with engineering calculations estimates and strategies.
Experience managing suppliers for timely and costeffective delivery.
Ability to assess and adapt HVAC systems based on project changes.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office 2D/3D Autodesk CAD and technical report writing.
Qualifications
Degree in Mechanical Engineering Building Services or related field.
Desirable: Chartership or in pursuit of Chartership.
Familiarity with Sellafield Ltd Design Guides is a plus.
