Job Description

Our Hardware development team in Plymouth MI develops Camera based driver assistance products.

We offer an internship (full time or part time) for 6 months or longer to support the development team. 

  • Support engineering debugging and development testing of automotive cameras in lab and lab environment 
  • Analyze and document test results  
  • Support in documentation and process related tool
    • Requirements capture in DOORS
    • Test results documentation in RQM
  • Performing optical performance measurements using LabVIEW
    • Custom developed software application modules
  • Support developing basic LabVIEW programs
  • Create 3D models for fixtures. Work with 3D printer
  • Support various activities in the labs (organizing sorting cleaning etc.

Qualifications :

Required

  • Pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering Mechatronic Physics or Optics with at least two 2 semester completed
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Minimum 18 years of age
  • Good communication skills and team work spirit
  • Ability to work independently and selforganized
  • Understanding of electronic design and circuits
  • Ability to read basic electronic schematics and wiring plans
  • Ability to work with basic electrical/optical instruments such as multimeters oscilloscopes lux meter spectrometer etc.
  • Ability to use basic electrical/mechanical hand tools and using soldering irons
  • Ability to work in a small lab environment 

Preferred

  • Understanding of basic photography and camera principles
  • Understanding of basic physics and thermodynamics
  • Basic knowledge in NI LabVIEW.
  • Experienced in electronic design and controls
  • Experienced in MATLAB. Understanding of complex scripts
  • Mechanical understanding and handson
  • Good working knowledge in Microsoft applications such as Excel Word and Power Point
  • Basic knowledge in programming / scripting language (MATLAB or Python)
  • Understanding of basic electronic design and circuits principles
  • Academic understanding of control theory
