Job Description
Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Supervisor to oversee paint application and manage labors for one of our clients working for The Indian Navy Shipyard at Chennai branch. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supervisory roles and be comfortable with regular travel to various locations including the Integral Coach Factory Chennai branch office and the Southern Railway.
Job Responsibilities:
- Inspect and oversee paint application processes to ensure quality and compliance with standards.
- Manage and supervise labors to ensure efficient workflow and productivity.
- Coordinate with team members and other departments to ensure smooth operations.
- Conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor progress and address any issues.
- Prepare reports and documentation related to paint application and labour management.
- Facilitate communication between different stakeholders to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Travel to Integral Coach Factory Chennai branch office and the Southern Railway to oversee operations and coordinate activities.
- Unload material at the location at the time of dispatch.
- Maintain data of stocks at the site.
- Ensure signoff from the customers production and quality team to submit documents and bills for receipt of payment and coordinate for payment.
- Ensure plans are executed on time and information is accurately conveyed to all relevant parties.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelors degree or diploma in a relevant field.
- Proven experience in a supervisory role preferably in paint application or a related field.
- 24 years of experience in a supervisory capacity preferably in paint application a related field or any field.
- Strong leadership and management abilities.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Comfortable with regular travel to various locations.
- Fluent in Tamil and conversant in English.
- Must be willing to relocate to Chennai if not already based there.
