Job Description
Ingram Content Group (ICG) is currently seeking a Sr. Software Engineer to join our team in LaVergne TN (Greater Nashville area). This person provides ongoing development and maintenance for major warehouse systems including warehouse management/ transportation and freight audit applications. Leads in small to midsize projects analysis and design of new or improved systems ability to deal with complex development issues such as multiplatform development and small size project management which dont cross departmental boundaries.

The ideal candidate will have the following minimum qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field or year for year directly related experience
- 6 years development experience as application engineer/sr. programmer analyst
- 5 years RPG/RPGLE iSeries development experience
We have a preference for:
- Knowledge of SQL Qshell and iSeries file systems
- Understanding of webbased APIs JSON and XML
- Knowledge of RPG RPGLE and CL Programming on iSeries platforms
- Experience with Manhattan warehouse and transportation products ProfoundLogic software and/or PlanetPress software a plus
- Exposure to modern languages including Java and Javascript
- Ability to be flexible/multitask based on workflow demands
The Sr Software Engineer key responsibilities are:
- Develops tests and implements new computer programs.
- Works closely with client resources to assist in application workflow corrective planning and
- Supports user/customer community to capture system requirements.
- Works with multiple systems (i.e. WMS Transportation Freight Audit)
- Manages projects that require work from others.
- Creates project plans and manipulates the key factors (time resources and functionality) in order to offer alternatives to project sponsors.
- Communicates project status and issues.
- Defines methods and processes for application development.
- Enforces good development practices.
- Investigates new technologies and new techniques
Hiring Salary Range: $108000k $138000k. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. It will be determined by factors including but not limited to: the applicants education experience knowledge skills and abilities geographic location as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
