Bakery Production job Description

We are looking for an experienced Bakery Production Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in bakery production including mixing ingredients overseeing the production process and ensuring the efficient packing of finished goods. This role requires attention to detail the ability to manage production workflows and a passion for highquality baked goods.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Mixing Ingredients:

o Accurately measure and mix ingredients according to recipes and production schedules.

o Ensure all ingredients are mixed in the proper proportions and meet quality standards.

o Operate bakery equipment such as mixers ovens and scales safely and efficiently.

2. Production Management:

o Oversee the daytoday bakery production activities to ensure the timely preparation of products.

o Monitor and adjust production processes as needed to maintain consistent quality.

o Ensure that all safety and hygiene standards are followed during production.

o Troubleshoot any production issues or delays and implement corrective actions.

3. Packing and Quality Control:

o Ensure that finished products are packed in accordance with company standards and specifications.

o Check the quality of baked goods before packaging to ensure they meet the desired taste texture and appearance.

o Prepare items for shipment ensuring all products are packed properly and ready for delivery.

4. Inventory Management:

o Assist in monitoring ingredient and packaging supplies to ensure sufficient stock for production.

o Report any shortages or discrepancies in ingredients or packaging materials to management.

5. Team Collaboration and Supervision:

o Work closely with other team members to ensure efficient production and delivery.

o Assist in training new production staff on bakery processes ingredient handling and safety standards.

6. Compliance and Safety:

o Adhere to all food safety regulations including hygiene sanitation and safety protocols.

o Maintain a clean and organized workspace throughout the production and packing process.



Requirements

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 35 years of experience in bakery production or a similar role with a strong focus on mixing production management and packing.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in operating bakery production equipment (mixers ovens etc..
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to ensure consistency and quality in all baked goods produced and packed.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy bags of ingredients and stand for long periods while working.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with the team and report issues.
  • Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently to meet production deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in food safety or related fields.
  • Experience in leading or supervising a small team.
  • Knowledge of bakery recipes and baking techniques.

Proven experience as a cook, preferably in a hotel or similar hospitality setting. Culinary degree or certification from a recognized institution (preferred). Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices. Ability to work efficiently under pressure and in a team environment. Excellent time-management skills and attention to detail. Ability to follow recipes and instructions precisely. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
