We are seeking an experienced and reliable FFS (Form Fill Seal) Worker to join our bakery production team. This role involves operating and maintaining form fill seal machines to package bakery products efficiently and securely. The ideal candidate will have a background in packaging and production processes with attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining product quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
Form Fill Seal Machine Operation:
- Set up operate and maintain form fill seal machines for packaging bakery products.
- Ensure machines are properly calibrated to achieve correct portion sizes sealing and packaging.
- Troubleshoot any mechanical issues with the machines and perform basic repairs as necessary.
Packaging Process:
- Ensure that bakery products are packaged according to the required specifications including weight labeling and appearance.
- Monitor and adjust machine settings to ensure optimal packaging quality and efficiency.
- Oversee the timely packaging of products to meet production and delivery deadlines.
Quality Control:
- Inspect packaged products to ensure they meet quality standards including proper sealing labeling and product integrity.
- Perform checks to ensure packaging is consistent and secure preventing any defects that could affect product safety or presentation.
- Report any packaging issues or discrepancies to the supervisor for corrective action.
Inventory Management and Stock Control:
- Monitor packaging material inventory including films labels and other consumables and notify management of any shortages.
- Ensure packaging materials are stored properly and are used in an efficient manner to minimize waste.
Hygiene and Safety:
- Maintain a clean and sanitized work environment by following established hygiene and safety procedures.
- Adhere to all food safety regulations to ensure the cleanliness and safety of packaged bakery products.
- Comply with safety standards and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
Team Collaboration and Support:
- Work closely with other production team members to ensure smooth operations across the bakery production process.
- Assist with the training of new staff on packaging procedures machine operation and safety standards.
- Support the team in other areas of production such as mixing or quality control when needed.
Requirements
Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 23 years of experience operating form fill seal machinery or similar packaging equipment in a production environment preferably in the bakery or food industry.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in machine operation troubleshooting and basic maintenance of packaging equipment.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on ensuring consistent highquality packaging and compliance with specifications.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods lift packaging materials and work in a fastpaced environment.
- Communication: Clear verbal communication skills to report issues and collaborate with team members and supervisors.
- Time Management: Ability to work efficiently prioritize tasks and meet production deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of bakery product packaging standards and best practices.
- Familiarity with automated packaging systems and related software.
- Certification in food safety or packagingrelated certifications.
- Basic mechanical or technical skills for troubleshooting and minor repairs.

Proven experience as a cook, preferably in a hotel or similar hospitality setting. Culinary degree or certification from a recognized institution (preferred).
