Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Senior Tax Associate to join our dynamic team. In this role you will have the opportunity to manage diverse tax responsibilities while developing strong relationships with clients and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare individual corporate and partnership tax returns including those for OVDP and Streamlined compliance.
- Review client data and generate journal entries ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Perform reconciliations and assist with various tax compliance tasks.
- Cultivate strong professional relationships with clients and collaborate with personnel across departments.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting (Masters degree preferred).
- Minimum 3 years of public accounting experience is required.
- Strong knowledge of accounting and auditing standards.
- Proficient in journal entry preparation and understanding accrual vs. cash accounting.
- Experience with calculating GILTI.
- Familiarity with tax forms such as5472 FBAR and other relevant tax filings.
- Experience with CFC and Foreign Partnerships Categories classification as well as Check the Box Election.
Additional Skills & Experience:
- Proficiency with tax preparation software such as UltraTax Pro Systems QuickBooks and Practice CS is preferred.
- Advanced Excel skills are a plus.
