About the Role:
- Deliver engaging and challenging Music lessons across Key Stages 35 including GCSE and ALevel Music.
- Develop and implement lesson plans that incorporate a variety of musical styles techniques and technologies including performance composition and music theory.
- Facilitate studentled performances workshops and concerts encouraging creativity collaboration and practical application of skills.
- Assess student progress through performances compositions written analyses and examinations providing detailed and constructive feedback.
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of the Music curriculum ensuring it aligns with current industry trends and best practices in music education.
- Organize and lead extracurricular activities such as school bands choirs orchestras and participation in music festivals to enhance student learning and provide performance opportunities.
- Collaborate with other departments such as Performing Arts and Technology to create interdisciplinary projects and performances.
Ideal Candidate:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a strong background in Music Music Education or a related field.
- Extensive experience teaching Music to GCSE and ALevel with a focus on both practical and theoretical aspects of the subject.
- Excellent communication interpersonal and performance skills with the ability to inspire and motivate students.
- A passion for fostering creativity confidence and selfexpression in young people through music.
- Proficiency in a range of musical instruments music software and recording technologies.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and contribute to the wider life of the school.
