What will you be doing
As a Principle Systems Engineer you will join our team in Crawley to support our activities within the defence sector. In this role youll work on critical projects related to military systems naval platforms and secure communication systems. Youll be part of a team that plays a vital role in ensuring the performance and reliability of systems used in some of the most demanding environments. With the opportunity to collaborate with experts from various engineering domains you will gain exposure to cuttingedge technologies while supporting the engineering lifecycle for advanced systems.
Your main responsibilities will be:
- Lead the design development and integration of complex systems in the defence and maritime sectors.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to deliver robust engineering solutions that meet both client and regulatory requirements.
- Provide technical expertise in hardware/software integration ensuring seamless operation across systems.
- Develop and maintain systems architecture for complex projects ensuring alignment with both functional and technical specifications.
- Contribute to the full systems engineering lifecycle from initial concept through to testing deployment and support.
- Support system validation and verification processes to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.

Qualifications :
Experience skills and qualifications required:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in complex systems engineering with a focus on hardware/software integration or systems architecture.
- Demonstrated exposure (minimum of 3 years to working in the defence or maritime industries. Experience in aerospace or land defence is a plus.
- Strong understanding of the systems engineering lifecycle with experience in the righthand side of the Vmodel (integration verification validation).
- Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams providing clear guidance and technical leadership.
- Experience working within security clearance environments or the ability to obtain clearance.
- Proficiency in relevant engineering tools and software for systems analysis design and simulation
