Job Description

This position involves working with team members to develop an EH&S culture ensuring environmental compliance and reducing workplace injuries.

What will you do:

Provide ongoing support to members and leadership in identifying workplace hazards incident reporting and investigation and developing a comprehensive safety program.

Assist the EH&S Manager in leading EH&S programs.

Ensure compliance with OSHA General Industry Standards and Company Standards.

Ensure compliance with federal state and local environmental regulations and policies.

Facilitate EH&S training for all members.

Measure progress towards meeting EH&S targets and objectives.

Report and record EH&S data in a timely manner.

Provide triage and first aid in the event of injury to a team member or contractor.

Contribute to health screening processes health education programs OSHA recordkeeping hearing conservation processes etc.

Perform other duties as assigned by the EH&S Manager.


Requirements


Experience in EH&S within a manufacturing environment (lumberrelated preferred).

Proficiency with Microsoft Suite (Excel Access Word etc..

Understanding of facilitating a successful EH&S program.

Ability to present and train team members.

Proactive and enthusiastic with effective leadership skills.

Proven ability to build and maintain strong teams.

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Advanced computer skills including MS Office software.
