Validation of Design & Construction Drawings
- Review and validate rolling stock technical specifications design documents and construction drawings to ensure compliance with project requirements and international railway standards EN 45545 EN 50126 IEC 62278 NFPA 130.
- Coordinate with OEM manufacturers and system integrators to address discrepancies and technical issues.
- Ensure that all train configurations mechanical systems and electrical systems align with the approved design.
Site Supervision & Testing
- Oversee the delivery assembly and commissioning of monorail rolling stock onsite.
- Supervise the installation and integration of critical rolling stock subsystems including:
- Propulsion & Traction Systems 750V DC motors inverters regenerative braking)
- Bogies Suspension & Guidance Systems
- Train Control & Monitoring System (TCMS)
- Braking Systems (Electrodynamic Pneumatic Emergency Braking)
- Onboard Communication PIS CCTV and HVAC
- Energy Management & Battery Backup Systems
- Ensure alignment and interface compatibility between rolling stock and infrastructure (platforms PSD depots).
- Conduct routine inspections and quality control checks to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
Installation Testing & Commissioning (T&C)
- Supervise static and dynamic tests for monorail vehicles including:
- Brake testing propulsion performance and acceleration/deceleration analysis
- Noise and vibration assessments
- Traction power compatibility and energy efficiency evaluation
- Door operation tests and PSD synchronization
- Validate CBTC (GoA4 integration with rolling stock to ensure safe and automated operations.
- Lead test runs and fault identification before final commissioning.
Integration & Operational Readiness
- Ensure seamless integration of rolling stock with signalling OCC SCADA depot and traction power systems.
- Work closely with maintenance teams to implement reliability availability maintainability and safety (RAMS) strategies.
- Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for rolling stock maintenance and fleet management.
- Monitor fleet performance conduct root cause analysis for failures and recommend corrective actions.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering Electrical Engineering Railway Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 12 years of experience in rolling stock engineering preferably in metro monorail or automated transit systems.
- Expertise in monorail propulsion train control braking and onboard systems.
- Experience in rolling stock acceptance dynamic testing and commissioning.
- Knowledge of railway safety regulations (NFPA 130 EN 45545 IEC 62278 EN 50126 ISO 55000.
- Strong analytical problemsolving and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
