Job Title: Sonographer General
Location: Peoria IL
Shift Type: Days
Shift Schedule: Monday Friday 8:00 AM 4:30 PM
Hourly Rate: $38.00 per hour
Role Overview:
The Sonographer will provide mobile ultrasound services to various healthcare settings including nursing homes home healthcare facilities correctional facilities and processing sites. This role requires independent work in the field while ensuring highquality imaging and patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform and process ultrasound exams using portable sonographic equipment and transmit them for radiologist interpretation.
- Transport and unload portable ultrasound equipment at healthcare facilities.
- Obtain clinically diagnostic and technically competent images.
- Verify patient information using two identifiers and confirm accuracy of physician orders.
- Scan and submit examrelated paperwork and billing documents daily.
- Communicate efficiently and professionally with dispatch call center peers supervisors and clients.
- Attend required meetings and training sessions.
- Maintain and ensure proper function of companyprovided sonographic equipment and vehicles.
- Adhere to all company policies procedures and regulatory compliance requirements.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Must complete TB screening and medical physicals at hire and annually.
- Ability to operate smartphones computers and scanning equipment.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently with little to no direct supervision.
- Knowledge of regional geography and travel routes.
- Ability to train other technologists as needed.
- Must successfully pass a drug screening and background check.
