Drama Teacher Independent School
Start Date: September 2025

About the Role:
We are looking for a passionate creative and enthusiastic Drama Teacher to join our vibrant Performing Arts Department at a prestigious independent school. As a Drama Teacher you will have the exciting opportunity to inspire students from KS3 to KS5 fostering a love for drama and performance. You will engage students through innovative and dynamic lessons encouraging creativity collaboration and selfexpression while nurturing their academic and personal growth in the arts.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver captivating drama lessons to students across KS3 to KS5 promoting creativity performance skills and critical thinking.
Organise and produce school performances and productions allowing students to showcase their talents and develop teamwork and leadership abilities.
Assess student progress providing constructive feedback to help them achieve their best potential in drama studies.
Encourage students to explore different theatrical techniques enhancing their understanding and appreciation of drama.
Support the development and growth of the Drama Department contributing ideas for curriculum improvements and extracurricular activities.
Create a welcoming inclusive and supportive classroom environment that encourages students to express themselves confidently.

About You:
To be considered for this role you will need:
A degree in Drama Theatre Studies or a related subject.
A formal teaching qualification with QTS (PGCE or equivalent).
Experience teaching drama across KS3 to KS5 with a passion for cultivating students creativity and love for the performing arts.
Strong communication organisational and classroom management skills.
A commitment to providing an inspiring and enriching educational experience in a supportive independent school environment.
