Job Description
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Maintain detailed records of student progress and IEP goals.
- Collaborate with school staff and parents to enhance student learning.
- Adapt curriculum and teaching methods to meet diverse learning styles.
- Develop and implement effective IEPs that cater to students individual needs.
- Conduct regular assessments to monitor progress and adjust instruction accordingly.
- Participate in ongoing professional development to stay informed on best practices in special education.
Requirements
- Availability to work up to 37.5 hours per week.
- Bachelors degree in Special Education (Masters degree a plus).
- Experience working with children with a wide range of disabilities.
- Proven experience as a Special Education Teacher or relevant role.
- Eligible for an Illinois PEL with special education (LSB1 endorsement.
