Job Title: Systems Integration Team Lead

Reports to: Head Product Delivery & Support

Based in: Nairobi Kenya
Department: Technology Department.

Job purpose:

To lead and manage system integration projects while ensuring seamless customer support operations.

Job Summary:

This role is responsible for overseeing the integrations projects and managing daytoday support activities based on the scope budget and schedule constraints. He/she aims to ensure that deliveries are fit for purpose consistent and meets both external and internal service expectations. The role is concerned with monitoring and advising on the performance of the systems seamless data flow between integrated systems and reporting on performance measures against set standards.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

1. Integrations Strategy Planning &

  • Develop a phased roadmap for integrating cloudbased solutions with existing legacy systems.
  • Prioritize APIfirst approaches to ensure seamless data flow between HR payroll finance and customer support systems.
  • Align integration efforts with business goals ensuring costeffective and scalable solutions.

2. Integration Projects Management:

  • Plan execute and oversee system integration projects ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Develop project timelines budgets and milestones for integrating core insurance systems.
  • Identify and mitigate risks related to system integration and data flow.

3. Stakeholder Management & Collaboration:

  • Engage with customers and business partners to understand their needs enhance satisfaction and drive innovation in system integration solutions.
  • Work closely with all stakeholders internally and externally to define integration and support requirements.
  • Act as a bridge between internal business units technology teams customers providers and external vendors on system integration matters.
  • Communicate project progress challenges and solutions to leadership and stakeholders.

4. Operational Excellence

  • Reviewing customer requirements and making sure they are met.
  • Looking for ways to improve integrations and increase efficiency.
  • Setting up and maintaining controls and documentation procedures.
  • Monitoring integrations performance by gathering relevant data and producing statistical reports.
  • Ensuring Smart integrations are working as effectively as possible to keep up with competitors.
  • Ensure adoption of the standard integration framework across all the customers and providers

5. Customer Support on Integrations:

  • Ensure integrated systems provide seamless customer support reducing response times and improving service quality.
  • Monitor customer support performance metrics and suggest improvements based on data insights.
  • Maintain an issue log to track key challenges and come up with resolution strategy

6. Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor that align with the role and the organization s objectives.


Requirements

Qualifications

  • Holder of a Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or a Business degree in a related area.
  • Project Management certification/training in PMP or Prince 2
  • Qualifications and/or experience in Insurance operations will be a definite advantage
  • Experience in medical insurance and/or healthcare value chain will be a definite advantage.

Skills knowledge and abilities

  • Skill in customer service & support and training with demonstrated customer service orientation.
  • Strong and well developed analytical and report writing skills.
  • Quick learner with demonstrated product knowledge and professionalism.
  • Excellence in problem solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills both written and verbal.
  • Team player with ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with customers and other service delivery functions.
  • Selfstarter with possession of selfmanagement and selfdrive to complete tasks and engage customers.
  • Proactive and highly organized with strong time management and planning skills.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines heavy workloads and remain calm under pressure with a high degree of individual responsibility all of which are implicit with the position.
  • An understanding and appreciation of other peoples work disciplines
