Real Estate Accounting Specialist
We are currently looking for a Specialist to join our Real Estate Accounting Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling the daytoday accounting operations within our fastpaced and rapidly growing net lease real estate platform. This role involves comprehensive accounting and finance responsibilities across all our real estate funds. Please note that this position is in the buildout phase and responsibilities are expected to evolve as objectives continue to be established.
Responsibilities
- Review financial reporting packages including recalculation of Net Asset Value NAV per share management fees and incentive fees
- Review ad hoc investor reporting requests
- Review compliance calculations including debt compliance and other financial information as required by loan documents and REIT tests for tax compliance
- Assist with review of 10Q and 10K financial statements in accordance with GAAP including variance analysis and timely reconciliation of general ledger accounts
- Assist with annual audit requests
Qualifications
- 3 years of accounting or real estate industry experience
- High level of professionalism and detail orientation
- Experience working in Microsoft Excel developing formulas and macros
- Knowledge of historical cost and/or fair value GAAP
- Ability to understand leases debt agreements and private placement memorandums is a plus
- Bachelors degree required
