The Senior Solutions Architect/Tech Lead plays a crucial role in analyzing solution requests formulating architectures and leading technologydriven solutions. This role involves collaborating with teams for CI/CD of AWS resources improving products and guiding system development. The architect leads solution delivery ensures timely manages vendor teams addresses technical challenges adheres to standards and mentors others. The position also contributes to enterprise blueprints technical specifications and strategic planning.
- Analyzes new solution requests solicits and clarifies requirements and formulates conceptual and physical architectures to rapidly deliver solutions.
- Provides direction for and leads technologydriven solutions and capabilities.
- Collaborates with multifunctional teams to research architect and automate the Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) of a wide variety of Amazon Web Services (AWS) resources hosting data platform components.
- Determines designs and drives product improvements. Creatively initiates new ideas for system improvement develops solution and guides team in delivering.
- Provides input to McDonalds Enterprise Architects on enterprise solution blueprints.
- Leads entire team including vendor architects & engineers in all solution delivery and technology innovations throughout all stages of the Agile development life cycle.
- Leads the vendor architects in developing detailed solutions
- Leads the developers on of the solution
- Partners with the project owner project managers and PMO on delivering the solutions on time
- Partners with the data quality validation team
- Develops solutions for more significant bugs found during endtoend testing
- Provides thought leadership in postproduction troubleshooting including bugs causing high traffic issues
- Helps teams to deliver the product on time on budget and ensuring that is solves the objectives it was designed to solve.
- Deep technical thinker and complex problem solver for complex technical challenges.
- Sets and/or enforces McDonalds architecture/engineering standards for solution implementations. Determines the direction for standards for new development which the team adheres to.
- Determines projections for product growth for budgeting and planning purposes.
- Actively participates in and mentors the McDonalds architecture and engineering communities.
Specific Responsibilities
- Develops and contributes to the overall blueprints and detailed technical specifications for new business initiatives
- Continual creation of ideas and design of solutions for improving the product
- Determines which technology to use where and for what in solutions
- Communicates solutions to project team
- Reviews project teams detailed specifications to ensure accurate interpretation of the requirements and solution
- Reviews development team sql and provide guidance input and approvals
- Leads problem solving of issues partnering with the development team
- Provides technical input and direction on new software packages and technology tools
- Defines applicable security requirements and solutions
- Advises on contractual technical SLAs
- Maintains overall integration system flow diagrams to allow for quick understanding of change impacts
- Communicates monthly to team of upcoming designs and solicits input and feedback
- Shares expertise with new hires in the form of the CCP Class
- Coaches the data architect on how to maintain the data model and metadata
- Continues to increase personal knowledge of the AWS Apache GCP and other relevant technology stacks
- Participates in wider team architectural reviews such as D&AI Solutioning meetings
- Participates in external peer communities
- Participates in Product Backlog Refinement
- Participates in Sprint Reviews and Sprint Retrospectives
- Provides product expertise to the business product team and other department teams
- Supports the Legal Department in customer queries and data retrievals

The expected salary range for this role is $149260 $190310 per year

Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology field is required
- 5 years of professional experience architecting solutions in AWS with the following suites: AWS Atlassian Suite products including Jira/Confluence
- Proficiency with AWS products including: Amazon Redshift EC2 SQS S3 Cloudwatch SecretsManager Lambda API Gateway Fargate Step Functions CodeCommit Glue and RDS Databases
- Proficiency with Apache products including: Kafka HBase Spark
- Proficiency with NewRelic
- Proficiency in no code/low code/nosql software solutions
- Familiarity with encryption mechanisms and protocols such as PGP AES256
- Familiar with CI/CD enablers such as Jenkins GitHub and jFrog
- Ability to make the appropriate recommendations based on the AWS WellArchitected framework and best practices for multiple AWS service categories including Compute Storage Database Network & Content Delivery Security Identity and Compliance Management & Governance Machine Learning and Development Tools
- Proficient in sql
- Excellent written verbal and meeting facilitation skills
- Experienced in Agile software development
