We are seeking a fulltime SENCO & Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) for an immediate start at a primary school in Hillingdon. This is a temptoperm opportunity with a competitive salary on the MPS/UPS scale SEN Allowance 2.
The Role
- Leading and managing SEND provision across the school to ensure all pupils receive the support they need
- Coordinating and implementing EHCPs interventions and support strategies for children with additional needs
- Acting as the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) ensuring the highest standards of safeguarding and child protection
- Working closely with teachers support staff external agencies and parents to provide an inclusive learning environment
- Delivering staff training and professional development on SEND and safeguarding best practices
What We Are Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and the NASENCO qualification (essential)
- Proven experience working as a SENCO in a primary setting
- Strong understanding of SEND legislation EHCP processes and inclusive teaching strategies
- Experience in safeguarding and child protection with a strong ability to handle sensitive situations
- Excellent leadership communication and organisational skills
