Job Description
We are looking for a Head of R&D Natural Sweetness Curds and Sauces. The role is transversal to the R&D team across Valeo and all its categories (natural sweetness sweets and chocolate crisps and snacks bakery)
- Lead the Development team to ensure effective on time project management and implementation of all NPD and EPD activity across the site.
- Lead the way in cross functional working to drive improvement in how we manage and implement new products and product improvement.
- Review current and future team skills and expertise requirements building capability and succession for the future.
- Work collaboratively with the Brand and Marketing teams to develop effective brand plans and initiatives.
- Ensure the team supports the delivery of the brand and customer plans by working with the commercial team on new product launches and key customer initiatives.
- Build effective relations with customers to ensure we meet their needs.
- Chairs and leads the business through the CMP process ensuring structured project plans are in place
- Understand the impact of new launches on factory efficiency capability and consistency to ensure that new launches can be produced to agreed target margins in terms of throughput consistency and product cost.
- Actively engage with external stakeholders and across the industry to explore opportunities for innovation.
- Take the lead in exploring new processes products ingredients and packaging formats and creates a forum to share and present opportunities to the business.
Qualifications :
- Outstanding experience of the full R&D environment from insight generation problemsolving targetsetting delivering and measuring
- Outstanding experience in developing highperforming teams
- Outstanding experience in interacting successfully with boardlevel stakeholders and in collaborating widely with sales
- Outstanding track record of creating change that shaped the thinking and deliver business results
- Excellent leadership to shape align and plan
- Outstanding analytical thinking
- Excellent capacity to create and embrace change
