Health and Social Care Teacher Make a Difference
An Outstanding secondary school is seeking a dedicated and experienced Health and Social Care Teacher to join their vocational department. This is a fulltime permanent position offering the chance to empower students with the knowledge skills and compassion needed for a fulfilling career in the health and social care sector.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging and practical lessons in Health and Social Care primarily to Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5 students.
- Cover a broad range of topics including human lifespan development health and wellbeing social care services communication skills and ethical considerations.
- Prepare students for BTEC qualifications in Health and Social Care (and/or other relevant vocational qualifications).
- Develop students practical skills and understanding of realworld care settings potentially through work placements or simulations.
- Foster empathy respect and a commitment to providing highquality care.
- Assess student progress effectively and provide constructive feedback.
- To be a teacher at a Outstanding level
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- A degree in Health and Social Care Nursing Social Work or a closely related field.
- Proven experience teaching Health and Social Care at the secondary level with a strong track record of success in delivering BTEC qualifications.
- Ideally some practical experience working in a health or social care setting (desirable but not always essential).
- Excellent communication organizational and interpersonal skills.
