Drama Teacher Independent School Surrey
A prestigious Independent secondary school in Surrey is seeking a dynamic inspirational and highly skilled Drama Teacher to join their thriving Performing Arts department. This is a fulltime permanent position teaching across Key Stages 3 4 and potentially Key Stage 5. The school boasts outstanding facilities and a strong tradition of excellence in the performing arts.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging and challenging Drama lessons that foster creativity confidence and technical proficiency.
- Teach a range of dramatic techniques styles and genres from classical theatre to contemporary performance.
- Develop students acting improvisation voice movement and stagecraft skills.
- Direct school productions and performances showcasing student talent to a high standard (highly desirable).
- Create a supportive and inclusive environment where all students can explore their creative potential and develop their selfexpression.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school through extracurricular drama activities.
- To work at a leading private school.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- A degree in Drama Theatre Studies or a closely related field.
- Proven experience teaching Drama at the secondary level ideally within the independent sector.
- A strong track record of directing school productions (highly desirable).
- Excellent communication organizational and interpersonal skills.
- A Drama Teacher with exceptional talent.
