Economics Teacher Surrey Secondary School
An Outstanding secondary school in Surrey requires a knowledgeable and dedicated Economics Teacher to join their thriving department. This is a fulltime permanent position primarily teaching Key Stages 4 and 5. The school fosters critical thinking and encourages students to engage with contemporary economic issues.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging and challenging Economics lessons that connect theory to realworld applications.
- Develop students understanding of core economic principles models and theories.
- Foster critical thinking analytical skills and the ability to evaluate economic arguments.
- Prepare students for success in Economics examinations (e.g. GCSE ALevel).
- Assess student progress rigorously and provide insightful feedback.
- Contribute to the development of the Economics curriculum incorporating current events and relevant case studies.

Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- A degree in Economics or a closely related field.
- Proven experience teaching Economics at the secondary level (Key Stages 4 and 5.
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for economics.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
