GENERAL SUMMARY/ OVERVIEW STATEMENT: The MGPO Business Transformation Department is affiliated with Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston Massachusetts.Working under the general direction of the Senior Business Consultant for MGPO Finance Business Transformation the Project Coordinator will assist with the development and management of multiple large scale MGPO Finance projects. The Project Coordinator is responsible for meeting preparation project tracking and documentation/training creation and maintenance. The Project Coordinator is responsible for a variety of project duties in a fastpaced/dynamic environment involving all levels of staff and management.This includes but is not limited to supporting the creation of all financial analyses practices/billing office assessments and the development of the ROI and business plans necessary to transition new clients to the MGPO/PBO. This role will support new business implementations across all of Partners as they relate to MGPO and BWPO billing. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Developing and maintaining project documentation including project plan meeting agendas meeting minutes action items parking lot and decision documents Develops and manages relationships with multiple departments including: physician practices ancillary departments information systems Partners eCare Team Spaulding Rehab PHCI Partners Finance Corporate BWPO Finance and central and professional billing offices. Development of future state process flows related to registration scheduling and charge capture Conduct gap analysis from future to current state Facilitate the completion of the new business checklist Tracking Impacts and Mitigation plans regarding New Business Implementations Supports all implementation activities across multiple departments to support golive. Accountable for meeting implementation milestones and adhering to project timelines. Responsible for identifying and escalating issues to Senior Business Consultant as needed. Manages the weekly New Business Dashboard for leadership updates Coordinate and lead assigned projects ensuring the daytoday assignments are completed Organize projectrelated meetings including the creation of agendas and preparation of materials Document activities and develop feedback reports to communicate project findings and activities to collaborators and others involved (e.g workflows processes etc. Develop reports and other deliverables as assigned Coordinate supports and conducts meetings with New Business prospects MGPO leadership and staff to plan orient and inform prospects of tasks and responsibilities. Coordinates tasks with departments and supports completion of New Business checklist tasks in preparation for on boarding/implementation to MGPO. Supports all logistics and communications associated with the implementation of each new business prospect. Ensures all management and staff have received appropriate training for implementation Assist the team in the identification implementation and monitoring of internal quality processes as assigned Initiate and maintain communications with internal and external customers including project collaborators taskforce vendors etc. where applicable Prepare and give presentations to audiences as directed Maintain positive relationships with all customers and assist them with issues or concerns Assist with the orientation and development of new team members Understand the implication of each element in the revenue cycle Direct and complete projects as assigned Performs other related duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelors Degree required preferably in Healthcare Administration or Business Management 13 years project experience is preferred Healthcare experience preferred Knowledge of healthcare revenue cycle is desirable. Epic revenue cycle applications experience a plus Experience at an academic medical facility preferred SKILLS/ ABILITIES/ COMPETENCIES REQUIRED: Exceptional organizational skills and the flexibility to manage multiple tasks in a fastpaced environment. Taskoriented individual with drive to complete and take responsibility for variety of implementation tasks. Ability to work both independently or within a team environment. Excellent and effective interpersonal communication and relationshipbuilding skills. Demonstrated ability to work effectively and courteously with various groups of patients staff management and providers. Demonstrated ability to problem solve and function as a resource to other members of the team and resolve complex issues. Knowledge of and proficiency with business software i.e. Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel Powerpoint Visio); SharePoint experience a plus Knowledge of HIPAA Confidentiality and Privacy Policies is desirable. WORKING CONDITIONS: The MGPO Business Transformation Department is located in the Charlestown Navy Yard campus The hours are usually Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM but vary according to the demands on this exempt salaried position The work environment is very busy and dynamic Staff is very collaborative and work together to solve issues with particular practice issues There are often multiple conversations occurring at the same time the staff needs to be able to handle an environment that is not quiet The employee is required to travel to any Partners facilities to attend offsite meetings.
