A Wildlife Biologist 1 provides field and technical support for the implementation of Bureau of Wildlife Management (BWM) and Region programs. This position will work as part of a fully functional wildlife management team with shared BWM program support among wildlife management supervisor wildlife biologist 1 wildlife technician bioaide and intern positions to achieve the goals and objectives identified in the Agencys strategic plan BWM Species management plans and the Wildlife Action Plan.
In this important role you will perform professional wildlife management work implementing evaluating and communicating wildlife research and management including but not limited to wildlife population monitoring habitat conservation and management wildlife response to management wildlife impact assessment wildlife planning and wildlife health monitoring. Provides wildlife management expertise and technical assistance at the Region level. Ensures projects surveys and plan development follow established guidelines meet expected deadlines and provide maximum benefits to wildlife.
