Job Description
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Laboratory Technician to test samples of soil concrete asphalt and other construction materials.
Previous experience of working in construction or a physical property testing laboratory would be advantageous but is not essential as we will provide all the training necessary. There is also great opportunity for progression as a Laboratory Technician.
The position is based in our Construction Materials Testing laboratory in Doncaster DN7 4JU.
Responsibilities:
- To produce test results in accordance with the documented procedures standards and specifications.
- To ensure testing/sampling activities are maintained in compliance with company requirements and standards.
- To ensure that the laboratory working areas are safe clean and tidy environments in which to work.
- Ensuring equipment is calibrated safe and suitable for use.
- To commit to ensuring the confidentiality of all customer information obtained or created during the performance of laboratory activities.
Role requirements:
- Good oral written and numeracy skills
- Familiar with safe working practices
- Computer literate
- Good observational skills
- Physically fit to complete role (manual work involved with carrying/ moving samples)
- Previous experience in a testing / laboratory role desired but not necessary as full training will be provided.
