Gilead Community Services is seeking a dedicated perdiem Cook to join our multidisciplinary residential program staff.

About the position:

The perdiem Cook for Gileads New Britain area adult residential substance abuse program prepares and serves meals for residents ensures the availability of supplies assists in the planning of food production and maintains meal preparation and the kitchen work area to required standards of sanitation.

Minimum Requirements:

• High school diploma required
• 3 years cooking experience
• Must maintain and provide proof of valid drivers license and automobile insurance in good standing

Responsibilities:

• Preparing meals according to recipe instructions
• Setting the steam table and ensuring proper serving of food
• Ensuring the availability of supplies for planned menu
• Maintaining the workspace in compliance with established sanitation standards
• Maintaining daily production records
