Job Description

About the role:

This exciting role involves working in a mobile integrated team focusing on delivering intensive handson support to families. Youll help ensure atrisk children stay at home avoiding entry or reentry into care. Through your contributions you will play a key role in providing vital wraparound services that are seamlessly connected to the existing child and family services network.

With a strong focus on collaboration innovation and evidencebased practice The Response offers an extraordinary opportunity to make a tangible difference in the lives of children and families. Your work will directly contribute to the ongoing development and evaluation of best practices in Family Preservation and Reunification (FPR) across the state.

This is a 2x Permanent FullTime 38 hours per week) opportunity based in Bendigo within our Family Preservation & Reunification program. The position reports to the FPR Practice Leader.

Key Selection Criteria:

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Demonstrated and extensive experience and skills in assessment and clinical interventions and family centred practice with vulnerable children young people and families with complex needs
  • Sound knowledge of the Children Youth and Families Act 2005 and policies relating to child welfare and the Best Interests of the Child Practice Model.
  • Highly developed skills in assessing risks needs and safety for vulnerable children young people and families.
  • Highly developed interpersonal communication written verbal and computer skills.
