If you are a Physics grad with university degree and excellent communication skills and you want to make a switch from Physics to Software Engineering this job is for you.

Some experience working with modern computer software tools and technologies is strongly desired. Therefore having some programming background is a definite plus but not mandatory. These positions are for individuals who possess a mix of business aptitude and academic expertise.

About the Role

• Proficiency in creating and implementing thorough test plans and test cases in accordance with project specifications.
• Competence in manual testing software to evaluate both functionality and performance.
• Skill in documenting and communicating defects effectively offering developers precise and comprehensive information for prompt resolution.
• Capability to conduct regression testing to verify that software alterations do not introduce fresh issues.
• Proficiency in meticulously maintaining comprehensive test documentation encompassing test plans test cases and test reports.
• Competence in monitoring testing progress and promptly reporting issues to project stakeholders.
  
• Ability to work under flexible hours like evenings midnight and weekends
• Proficient in the use of online and remoteconnecting software
• Demonstrated ability to function in a nonscripted helpdesk environment. This position requires the ability to examine question explore and troubleshoot a variety of issues.
• Assess severity/impact level and prioritize support requests accordingly. And escalate to technical lead if needed.

About You

• Excellent time and task management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Technically skilled with good problemsolving abilities (Think on Your Feet)
• Ability to provide timely responses to all incoming requests immediately or within 1 hour.
  
• Ability to provide excellent followthrough on all open pending and resolved tickets that come to helpdesk
• 1 year or more of basic technical support experience 1 year or more customer support experience
  
• Solid academic background
• Any level of proficiency in French or Spanish though not mandatory wouldbe a plus

Educational Requirements
Bachelors degree with Physics or MathPhysics major
