We invite you to join our Portfolio Delivery Pods within Product Development Data Sciences as a Data Sciences Product Leader. In this role you will act as a Principal Data Quality Leader (Clinical Data Manager) within the Data Strategy and Delivery (DSD) function. You will collaborate with a dynamic team of data lifecycle management experts focusing on acquiring and curating data for exploratory research clinical development and evidence generation.

Your responsibilities will include working with a variety of internal and external partners to design and implement data management solutions ensuring compliance with F.A.I.R. (Findable Accessible Interoperable Reusable) and RBQM (Risk Based Quality Management) principles. You will oversee and provide technical expertise in the delivery of highquality data managing relationships with External Business Partners (ExBPs) and vendors.

We are seeking candidates with strong strategic collaboration and communication skills as well as an entrepreneurial mindset. Your contributions will support initiatives that enhance our technical landscape and business processes ultimately aiding in the development and delivery of vital medicines to patients.

The Opportunity

  • Collaborate with teams across the organization to design and implement fitforpurpose data management solutions ensuring adherence to FAIR and RBQM principles.

  • Act as experts for data collection and acquisition advising teams and stakeholders on best practices and proposing innovative solutions including new data types technologies and sources.

  • Partner with and oversee data management deliverables from External Business Partners (ExBPs) and vendors ensuring highquality data and compliance with industry regulations.

  • Proactively manage timelines and track decisions to ensure the successful delivery of study work packages at ExBPs providing business and technical support as needed.

  • Oversee ExBPs in sample management and reconciliation processes ensuring timely and proactive resolution of queries.

  • Engage with stakeholders to understand their needs influence their understanding of functional decisions and keep them informed of the status of key deliverables.

  • Understand data insight needs and offer data management solutions overseeing the development of data transfer agreements with vendors and contributing to initiatives that promote new ways of working and the effective use of data.

  • Shape organizational data governance frameworks and influence industry best practices ensuring endtoend data integrity across multiple programs.

Who you are

  • BSc or MSc in Life Sciences Data/Computer Science Bioinformatics or equivalent with 7 years proven industry experience.

  • Leadership and Oversight: Extensive experience leading clinical data management efforts within study teams overseeing startup conduct and closeout activities for multiple or complex clinical trials including the management of ExBPs vendors CROs and Collaborative Groups.

  • Clinical Trial and Real World Data Collection: Experience in leading the collection of clinical trial and/or real world data.

  • Technical and Scientific Expertise: Strong understanding of molecule and disease area data strategies drug development process healthcare environments and scientific/technical expertise.

  • Communication and Collaboration: Demonstrated strong collaboration and excellent communication skills (proficiency in English required).

  • Leads development of global functional tools and systems acting as subject matter expert to elevate and mentor team members.

  • Oversees complex data science work products that have significant impact across the global organization.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of CDISC and CDASH data standards.

  • Familiarity with ICHGCP and working in regulated environments.

  • Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple requests and priorities.

  • Ability to solve complex abstract problems in a crossfunctional business environment

  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities in decisionmaking negotiation and motivation (self and others).

  • Experience with data analytics and/or visualization tools and techniques.

  • Entrepreneurial mindset selfdirection and ability to mentor others while being open to learning new techniques.

  • Expert knowledge of clinical data management and the clinical development process

  • Knowledge of biological principles and scientific curiosity with an understanding of various data types (clinical biomarker WGS RNAseq etc..

  • Proficient in programming languages SAS R and/or Python with a strong ability to leverage these tools for data analysis and automation of tasks.
