The Program Area Leader is responsible for the development and implementation of the Recreation Program for Children and Youth ages 6 13 years.The Recreation Program includes Physical Activity Creative Arts Leadership Community Outings and Fun!!

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daytoday operation of the program by ensuring that the necessary facilities and equipment are in place program guidelines and policies are adhered to and program standards.
  • Supervise and interact with children and youth in a positive and supportive manner to ensure a safe and supportive environment.
  • Transporting participants in Agency Vans to various sites for recreational purposes.
  • Establish open communication with parents/care givers.
  • Plans and implements activities and special events for a program.
  • Promotes public awareness of and support for the program by performing duties such as producing promotional materials and attending community events.
  • Maintains related records and statistics and produces reports as required.

    Qualifications:

    • A diploma certificate and/or relevant experience working with children in recreation education or other social services.
    • Current First Aid certificate
    • Class 4 Driver License or willingness to obtain
    • Successful completion of Agency screening including a Criminal Record Check

    This position is open to all applicants

    Hours: Casual hours with increased hours during the summer.


    Rate of Pay: $19.82 per hour

    Closing Date: March 17 2025.
