To verify through inspection that parts for product launches under revision or supplier migrations conform to Pride specifications as detailed in engineering drawings or other technical controlled documents
Follow general inspection guidelines to conduct mechanical electrical plastic and label inspections on a wide variety of components assemblies weldments and finished goods
Read and interpret engineering drawings Bill of Materials (BOMs) supplier certificates of conformity commercial part data sheets mill certifications industry workmanship standards
and inspection protocols
Read and interpret departmental procedures Research & Development (R&D) procedures design change controls and engineering change orders
Essure all submissions include parts that are properly identified and accompanied with the appropriate documentation from receipt to storage
Determine appropriate inspection methods and test procedures to verify conformance to product specifications
Develop knowledge of Institute for Printed Circuits (IPC) 610 & 620 standards to inspect electrical harnesses and printed circuit boards
Develop knowledge of American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) standards to evaluate plastic and metal raw materials coating and finishes
Develop knowledge of American Welding Society (AWS) standards to inspect welds
Develop knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) standard to facilitate dimensional inspections of parts
Participate in First Article Inspection Review (FAIR) Board meetings and develop ability to provide feedback regarding selection of parts to be inspected points to be verified and the location
Ensure that all test equipment is calibrated before each use has current calibration labels receives preventative and routine maintenance
Document inspection results by collecting accurate data and completing detailed reports in the Atlas database
Record all findings in accordance with company and department procedures for Good Documentation Processes (GDP)
Ensure identified deficiencies found during inspection are communicated to all responsible parties in a timely manner
Focus on continuous improvement and consistently demonstrate good business judgment
Work effectively with all Pride departments to exceed internal and external expectations
Ensure all safety and security rules are strictly observed and any accidents incidents or injuries are promptly reported to management
Complete the annual CTPAT Security Training
Pride retains the discretion to modify duties and/or assign other duties as necessary
Must be a team player friendly detailoriented and honest
Must have the ability to:
Multitask problemsolve and prioritize in a fastpaced working environment
Read and interpret work instructions inspection criteria and company policies and procedures
Recognize and define problems collect data and develop conclusions
Lift/Push/Pull 40 lbs.
Must have:

Basic mathematic skills
A willingness to learn and/or adapt to new work methods
Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word and Excel
Good verbal and written communication skills
Must have the ability to:
Utilize testing and inspection equipment including calipers micrometers GO/NOGO gauges height thread and pin gauges Vblocks surface plates hardness testers torque testers force gauges multimeters and optical comparator preferred
Operate a CMM (Coordinated Measuring Machine) preferred
Read and interpret Engineering Drawings with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) preferred
Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Teams preferred
No experience required
At least 1 year of experience in inspection of mechanical polymeric or electrical components and assemblies preferred
Previous work experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
Current or previous successful employment experience with Pride Mobility Products Corporation preferred
High School Diploma or GED
Associate degree in a related technical field preferred
American Society for Quality (ASQ) certification preferred
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future
