Job Description
The Inn at Chesapeake Bay Beach Club is looking for a Guest Service Agent to join our team! The Guest Service Agent will be the first point of contact for our guests and clients at our hotel. This is a parttime nonexempt position to work weekends. For more information on this position contact Patty Miller at
Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests
- Maintain room availability
- Collect and distribute messages for guests
- Prepare bill and collect payments for visits.
- Assists in solving billing discrepancies.
- Confirm reservations.
- Process check ins/outs.
- Answer/process all guest calls/request in timely fashion.
- Run daily reports.
- Count and verify bank.
- Coordinate rooms for check in with housekeeping.
- Answers inquiries regarding hotel area and services.
- Educates guests about the layout of the property.
- Offers to make reservations for Knoxies Table and/or The Spa.
- Informs guests of any special events that may be happening during their stay and offers to make reservations.
- Secures the privacy of the guests.
- Maintains a clean and tidy front desk/lobby area.
- Arranges for transportation.
- Maintain hotel records.

Compensation
Hourly parttime $16.00 $18.00 an hour.

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional environment. This role uses standard office equipment such as computer phones photocopiers filing cabinets and fax machines.
Physical Demands:
This is largely a sedentary role however would require the ability to lift up to 20 pounds open file cabinets bend stand and climb steps as necessary.
