Your Role:
Tenable is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join our Identity Security platform team. In this role youll be instrumental in building and scaling our identity security solutions that help organizations worldwide secure their digital assets.
The Technology Youll Work With
Primary: Kotlin SQL (Snowflake MSSQL PostgreSQL)
Supporting: Apache Kafka DynamoDB S3 C# NodeJS
Infrastructure: AWS Kubernetes Docker Jenkins Azure
Your Opportunity:
- Design and implement highperformance scalable backend services in Kotlin
- Develop and optimize SQL workflows to manage high data volume
- Build robust data processing pipelines for identity and access management data
- Create efficient APIs that power our security analytics engine
- Collaborate on database design and optimization
- Write comprehensive unit and integration tests
- Participate in code reviews and architectural discussions
- Manage and secure digital identities across cloud platforms
- Detect and remediate security vulnerabilities
- Analyze and optimize access patterns
- Ensure compliance with security standards
- Eventdriven architecture using Kafka and APIs for realtime data processing
- Containerbased deployment using Kubernetes
- Automated testing and deployment pipelines
- Focus on observability and monitoring
What Youll Need:
- Successful experience in backend development
- Strong proficiency in Kotlin or similar object oriented language.
- Professionallevel SQL knowledge and experience with relational databases at scale
- Experience building RESTful APIs and microservices
- Solid understanding of concurrent and distributed systems
And Ideally:
- Contributions to opensource projects
- Experience with multitenant cloudnative development
- Database performance tuning experience
- Familiarity with Kubernetes and container orchestration
- Previous experience in cybersecurity or identity management
