Job Description:
In this role you will make an impact in the following ways:
Complete repairs on engine products in a service shop.
Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools.
Maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles.
Adhere to Cummins Health Safety & Environmental policies.
Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products.
Maintain own tools.
RESPONSIBILITIES
In order to be successful in this role you will need the following:
(ADVANCED):
Ability to troubleshoot with limited/no support from diagnostic tools.
Larger more complicated engine rebuilds.
Mentor junior technicians including technical support and documentation.
Internal engine repairs electrical proficiency aftertreatment system fuel system and air handlings
SEEKING ADVANCED TECHNICIAN WITH INTERNAL ENGINE EXPERIENCE INCLUDING OVERHAULS.
Qualifications and Competencies
EDUCATION LICENSES CERTIFICATIONS
Apprentice Trained Engine Technician (Preferred)
Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution
Locally valid driving permit (Preferred)
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
EXPERIENCE
Advanced level of workshop experience required
Advanced knowledge of and/or experience with engine products
Qualifications
THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE A COMPLETED DMV DRIVING REPORT BUT NO DRIVER QUALIFICATION FILE. CANDIDATE MUST BE AT LEAST 18 YEARS OLD AND HAVE 2 YEARS DRIVING EXPERIENCE. THIS POSITION WILL BE PART OF THE FTA POOL.
A current valid license is required for this role
Must be 18 years old with 2 years driving experience
This role requires a 5year motor vehicle report free from major violations
This position is subject to Federal Transit Administration random and preemployment drug testing requirements. This roll will be subject to ongoing random drug and alcohol testing.

Base salary rate commensurate with experience. **Additional Manager notes**
This role requires no travel and will be based in the shop. The manager is looking for candidates that are proficient in Insite QSOL and Guidanz. Candidates that have Cummins specific certifications should be submitted first. Manager is looking for candidates with more than 5 years of overhaul experience. Candidates with light duty experience will not be considered. Only candidates with medium range (RVs Bus etc) ad heavyduty experience will be considered. Candidates that have experience working with construction heavy machinery engines Trains Ships and Bulldozers will be considered as well.
