Quality Specialist (Quality Assurance):
Summary:
The Quality Specialist is responsible for supporting quality improvement initiatives reducing defects and ensuring processes meet company standards. This role involves conducting defect analysis implementing corrective actions and working with production teams to improve quality and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
*Quality Improvement Projects:
oLead and support initiatives focused on reducing production defects waste ss and rework.
oWork closely with production teams to implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
oTrack and report progress on assigned quality improvement projects.
*Defect Analysis & Troubleshooting:
oInvestigate recurring quality issues and assist in root cause analysis.
oSupport data collection and trend analysis on defects and process inefficiencies.
oRecommend and help implement process changes to improve product quality.
*Process & Standardization Support:
oAssist in developing and maintaining work instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
oEnsure quality checks and procedures are consistently followed on the production floor.
*Auditing & Compliance Assistance:
oPerform routine product and process audits to ensure adherence to quality standards.
oAssist with preparation for external audits and certifications.
Requirements:
*Associate degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
*2 years of experience in a qualityrelated role (technician inspector or analyst).
*Strong problemsolving and analytical skills.
*Bilingual (Spanish/English) required.
*Ability to work independently on assigned quality projects.
Preferred Qualifications:
*Experience in manufacturing production or a similar industry.
*Familiarity with quality tools such as root cause analysis 5 Whys Fishbone) CAPA and basic statistical analysis.
*Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma or continuous improvement methodologies.
*Proficiency in Microsoft Office ERP or quality management software.
