Job Description

The Department of Medicine Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the University of Virginia seeks candidates for a tenureeligible Open Rank (Assistant Associate Professor) to join a team of experienced Gastroenterology physicians at the University Medical Center. The incumbent will have a commitment to clinical care and scholarly activity. The incumbent will be expected to manage patients in clinic perform routine endoscopic procedures attend on the inpatient GI service participate in ongoing clinical research and assist with teaching of fellows and residents. Rank and tenure status are dependent upon qualifications.



Candidates must have an MD or equivalent degree and must be boardeligible or boardcertified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology by the appointment start date.

The University will perform background checks and a health/drug screen on all new hires prior to employment.
