Job Description
RJ Kielty is seeking a motivated and detailorientedHVAC PreConstruction Estimator Trainee to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity to start your career in the HVAC industry. As a trainee you will assist in estimating HVAC systems for both commercial and residential projects while gaining handson experience and learning the ins and outs of the HVAC preconstruction and estimation process. You will work under the guidance of senior estimators and project managers to develop your skills.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with preparing HVAC system estimates based on project specifications and plans.
- Learn to interpret project drawings and collaborate with design teams to understand HVAC system requirements.
- Help gather pricing information for materials labor and equipment.
- Get handson experience using estimating software to generate cost proposals.
- Work closely with vendors and suppliers to obtain pricing and availability.
- Participate in project meetings and site visits to better understand HVAC installations.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of estimates proposals and related documents.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Strong math skills with the ability to calculate material quantities labor costs and system specifications.
- Strong interest in learning about HVAC systems and the estimation process.
- Basic understanding of construction and HVAC terminology is a plus.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment and eagerness to learn new skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; experience with estimating software is a plus.
Compensation:
- $16 $18 per hour based on experience.

Schedule:
- Monday Friday 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
