Job Description
Rugby Manufacturing is looking for a Design Engineer Intern. Rugby is North Americas leading designer and manufacturer of Class 37 dump truck bodies landscape bodies platform bodies truck and trailer hoists related truck equipment and accessories.
Job Summary:
- Produce accurate and clear engineering drawings and accurate bills of material for new and existing products
- Create custom designs and layout drawings on CAD system as required on customer order of specifications
- Be able to assist Sales with pricing projects
- Produce technical illustrations for owners manuals bulletins and sales literature
- Assist with changes and problems related to product design
- Assist manufacturing quality and planning as required
- Other duties as assigned
Tools Used: SolidWorks Business Software Microsoft Office
Environment: Office area and occasionally on the production floor
Job Requirements:
- Enrolled as an Engineering student at a college or university
- Ability to work independently
- Experience with Solid Works.
- Must be able to maintain be responsible for and keep current on scheduled workload
- Strong technical reasoning abilities
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Basic Solid Modeling proficiencyfinite element analysis is a plus
- A Basic understanding of truck chassis and related equipment
- Technical knowledge in steel and hydraulics is preferred
- Must be a team player with high integrity and a strong work ethic to meet company goals
