Job Summary:The Senior Auditor will be responsible for planning and coordinating various segments of the Internal Audit Departments annual goals and objectives. This role involves serving as the incharge auditor on assigned external financial audit engagements managing audit plans conducting fieldwork reviewing staff work to ensure compliance with standards and preparing oral and written reports for clients. This position requires a strong understanding of financial auditing excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple assignments effectively.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Plan and coordinate various segments of the departments workload in alignment with annual goals and objectives.
  • Serve as the incharge auditor for external financial auditsand handling various internal audit assignments.
  • Develop audit plans conduct audit fieldwork and ensure compliance with departmental standards.
  • Review work performed by staff auditors to ensure documentation requirements are met.
  • Prepare and deliver both oral and written reports to clients summarizing audit findings and recommendations.
Requirements

Education and Experience:

  • Required: Bachelors degree in Accounting.
  • Required: Valid CPA license or the willingness to obtain a CPA license (must meet all requirements to sit for the CPA Examination).
  • Required: Minimum of 3 years experience in external financial statement audits.
  • Preferred: Prior experience in accounting for or auditing notforprofit organizations.
  • Required: Upon obtaining the CPA designation must be committed to continued personal and professional growth and meeting continuing professional education requirements.

Competencies (Knowledge Skills and Abilities):

  • A solid understanding of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and U.S. Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS).
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to assess complex financial data.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for presenting audit findings.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Willingness to work extra hours as necessary to complete assignments on time.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel Outlook) CaseWare Working Papers IDEA and various financial software packages.
  • Ability to travel as required for audit engagements.
