Job Description

The Department of Mathematical Sciences at Carnegie Mellon University invites applications for an open rank position to begin September 1 2025. This search will focus on the area of mathematical finance broadly construed. The Department has longstanding strength in this area both in research and education. It plays a leading role in interdisciplinary educational programs in computational finance at the bachelors and masters levels. The successful candidate will be involved in the governance of the Bachelor of Science in Computational Finance (BSCF) program.



Preference will be given to candidates with research background in stochastics and those who have demonstrated experience in mentoring students. The Department of Mathematical Sciences is committed to increasing the diversity of its community on a range of intellectual and cultural dimensions and is part of a College and University that is proactive to include more members of previously underrepresented groups. We seek candidates who through their research teaching and/or service will contribute to the diversity and excellence of our academic community.
