Job Summary

Our Information Technology team here at ACC is looking for an IT Purchasing Coordinator to oversee the planning procurement acquisition and decommissioning life cycle of Collegebased computing resources.

Some of the responsibilities of this role include the following:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the procurement of clientfacing hardware and software including but not limited to all software licenses laptops desktops mobile devices and audiovisual equipment while ensuring efficient coordination from initial specification to deployment.

  • Engage with faculty and staff across the College to understand their technology needs provide expert recommendations and ensure acquisitions align with internal standards capabilities and available resources.

  • Manage the procurement process both purchasing and receiving for IT hardware software and services by coordinating purchase requests evaluating vendors building solutions proposals and ensuring timely delivery of assets.

  • Manage overall technology inventorybymaintaininganaccurateinventory ofhardware andsoftwareutilizedby ACCto support procurement planningoverseeing asset management process and coordinatewith departments to ensure proper allocation and disposal of outdated equipment.

  • Assist in the implementation of continuous process improvement and quality control methodsby providingtraining andexpert consultation to enhance operational efficiency and performance.

  • Analyze and make forecasted recommendations oncollege division and department level budgets for IT related needs.

TechSavviness Understands IT hardware software and licensing (not just buying random gadgets).
Relationship Builder & Communication Pro Build and maintain strong relationships with employees and stakeholders across the campus and external partners seamlessly bridging the gap between IT Finance and vendors without confusion.
Detail Oriented & Organized Tracks multiple vendor contracts renewal dates and purchase orders without missing a beat ensuring proper documentation and compliance with College purchasing policies.

Qualifications

REQUIRED

  • Four 4 years experience working in technology or equivalent combination of relevant education certifications and/or experience.

  • Knowledge of current computer technology including common devices software Windows and MacOS.

  • ExperienceutilizingAdobe Acrobat andOffice 365 particularly ExcelSharePointand Teams.

PREFERRED

  • Two 2 years handson budget development and management preferably within an IT function.

  • Direct experience working in the higher education industry.

  • Experience creating and managing a computer equipment lifecycle plan.

  • Experience with Jira Service Management software.

  • Experience with Formstackand Formstack Sign.

  • Prior training experience especiallyutilizingclassroom technology.

  • IAITAM certifications.
