Job Description
We are seeking a handson and resultsdriven Controller to manage fullcycle accounting operations for our clients Dartmouth NS office. Reporting to the international head office this role is ideal for an experienced accounting professional who thrives in a dynamic fastpaced environment and enjoys both strategic oversight and daytoday accounting responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities for the Job:
- Oversee fullcycle accounting including journal entries reconciliations financial statement preparation and monthend/yearend close
- Ensure compliance with local regulatory requirements and corporate policies
- Manage cash flow budgeting forecasting and financial analysis
- Provide accurate and timely reporting to the international head office
- Support audits and tax filings coordinating with external auditors and tax authorities
- Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and financial controls
- Lead and mentor accounting team
Experience & Attributes for Success:
- 10 years of progressive accounting experience including fullcycle accounting and leadership responsibilities
- CPA designation is an asset but not required
- Strong technical accounting knowledge and financial reporting experience
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Ability to work independently while maintaining strong collaboration with the global finance team
- Excellent analytical problemsolving and organizational skills
