About the Role:
- Deliver engaging and challenging History lessons across Key Stages 35 following exam specifications and incorporating diverse historical perspectives and methodologies.
- Plan and deliver lessons that foster critical thinking analytical skills and historical inquiry utilizing a variety of teaching methods and resources including primary source analysis and historiography.
- Assess student progress through research projects essays and written examinations providing detailed feedback to support their development.
- Contribute to the development of the History curriculum integrating current historical research and advanced concepts and participate in departmental planning.
- Organize and lead historical societies research projects and extracurricular activities promoting student engagement and historical inquiry.
Ideal Candidate:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a strong History subject knowledge including diverse historical periods and methodologies.
- Demonstrated experience teaching History to ALevel with a focus on both theoretical concepts and research skills.
- Excellent communication interpersonal and analytical skills with the ability to inspire and motivate highachieving students.
- Commitment to fostering historical inquiry and critical thinking.
