Job Description

Join a welcoming Church of England School in Westminster as an Art Teacher from April 2025. This is a midyear opportunity to inspire creativity and artistic expression among students across Key Stages 35 fostering a rich and diverse arts program within a valuesdriven environment.

About the Role:

  • Deliver engaging and challenging Art lessons across Key Stages 35 following exam specifications and incorporating diverse artistic practices and styles.
  • Plan and deliver lessons that foster creativity artistic skills and critical thinking utilizing a variety of teaching methods and resources including drawing painting sculpture and digital art.
  • Assess student progress through artwork presentations and written assessments providing detailed feedback to support their development and ensure smooth transition midyear.
  • Contribute to the development of the Art curriculum integrating current artistic trends and diverse artistic practices and participate in departmental planning.
  • Organize and lead art exhibitions workshops and gallery visits promoting artistic engagement and expression adapting to midyear integration.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a strong Art and Design subject knowledge including various artistic mediums and techniques.
  • Demonstrated experience teaching Art across Key Stages 35 with a focus on both practical skills and theoretical understanding.
  • Excellent communication interpersonal and artistic skills with the ability to inspire and motivate students including those joining midyear.
  • Commitment to fostering creativity and artistic expression within a valuesdriven environment.
