Job Description
Description of the role:
The Bodyshop Parts Person at Les Stanford Chevrolet and Cadillac in Ferndale Michigan is responsible for supporting the smooth operations of the bodyshop by managing the inventory of parts and organizing their distribution to technicians and customers. This role requires excellent organizational and communication skills as well as a strong attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and inspect parts delivered to the bodyshop
- Properly label and store parts in the inventory
- Track inventory levels and reorder parts when necessary
- Distribute parts to technicians and customers as needed
- Maintain accurate records of parts transactions
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely completion of repair jobs
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in a similar role preferred
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well independently and in a team
- Proficiency in using inventory management software
