You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailAs a Finance Manager at Migo you will play a critical role in overseeing and optimising our financial operations ensuring accuracy compliance and efficiency in our accounting practices. You will manage the preparation of financial statements regulatory filings and internal reports while leading a team to maintain impeccable records and financial controls. This position is perfect for a detailoriented and strategic thinker passionate about upholding financial integrity and driving process improvements to support our mission of transforming financial access in Nigeria.
Lead technical accounting; financial reporting; treasury management and accounts payable functions
Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly quarterly yearend financials in compliance with IFRS reporting standards
Interface with thirdparty accounting and tax advisory
Oversee the posting reconciliation and maintenance of general ledger accounts payroll transactions accounts payable and expense management
Prepare and analyze financial statements including income statements balance sheets and cash flow statements to provide insights into the organizations financial health
Develop and implement policies and procedures relating to accounting and financial planning
Coordinate and manage the annual audit process ensuring compliance with accounting standards and timely completion of audits.
Provide leadership and mentorship to finance team members fostering a culture of accountability collaboration and continuous improvement.
Work with risk and data science teams on our financials
Education & Certification:
Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting Economics or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified.
Experience & Skills:
Proven experience 3 years) in financial management roles with a track record of success in financial planning analysis and reporting.
Significant project management experience including planning and delivery of complex financial or crossfunctional projects within defined timelines and budgets.
Strong understanding of accounting principles financial regulations and compliance requirements.
Advanced proficiency in financial modeling accounting software forecasting and analysis tools.
Exceptional analytical and problemsolving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
Big Four accounting experience is preferred
Communication & Leadership:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to present complex financial information clearly and effectively to diverse audiences.
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a highperforming finance team.
Proven ability to collaborate effectively across departments and manage stakeholder expectations.
Project Management Expertise:
Expertise in creating project roadmaps monitoring progress and mitigating risks to ensure project success.
Experience in managing multiple concurrent initiatives and prioritizing resources efficiently.
Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies (e.g. Agile Scrum or Waterfall) is a plus.
