Job Description
The Role
WRSTBND is seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to join our Finance & Accounting team in New Orleans LA. This role is ideal for a detailoriented and analytical professional who thrives in a fastpaced environment. As part of our finance team you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data overseeing reconciliations and preparing financial reports that support both internal decisionmaking and regulatory compliance. This position offers the opportunity to work with a dynamic team while playing a key role in financial reporting and process improvements.
What Youll Do
- Own the monthly accounting close process ensuring timely and accurate general ledger entries and reconciliations.
- Analyze and reconcile balance sheet accounts identifying and resolving discrepancies through reclassifications and adjustments.
- Prepare accrual journal entries for monthend close ensuring expenses and revenues are properly recorded.
- Generate financial reports and performance metrics providing insights into trends variances and opportunities for improvement.
- Support internal and external audits by preparing necessary documentation and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
What Youll Bring
- 46 years of accounting experience with a strong foundation in GAAP and financial reporting.
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field.
- Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables SUMIF VLOOKUP etc. and familiarity with accounting software.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends and variances.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to work independently and within a team.
- Effective communication skills for collaborating across departments and presenting financial insights.
Bonus Points If You Have
- Experience in the entertainment sports or live events industry.
- CPA or progress toward CPA certification.
- Prior experience working with ERP systems or financial process automation.
Pay Scale:
We provide a competitive salary with annual bonus eligibility. We take into consideration an individuals background and experience in determining final salary. This role is also eligible for health insurance 401K life insurance and disability benefits and paid time off for sick leave parental leave vacation and PTO.
