Job Title: New Build Tender Estimator / Order Processor
Location: Tamworth
Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced New Build Tender Estimator / Order Processor to join our growing team. This role
involves estimating and processing orders for new build developments working closely with both internal teams
and external clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately tendering for a large number of
items in each quote (up to 100 items) and ensuring precise cost estimation. Knowledge of architectural drawings
is a must as you will be reading and interpreting plans for accurate estimates. We are happy to crosstrain someone
with knowledge in either PVC or aluminium but experience in both is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
Estimating and Tendering: Prepare and manage accurate estimates for new build developments. Ensure
that all quotes reflect precise material costs labor and timelines.
Reading Architectural Drawings: Ability to read and interpret architectural plans to ensure all estimates
are aligned with project requirements.
Order Processing: Process and manage orders from customers ensuring all specifications are captured
accurately and delivered on time.
Customer Liaison: Communicate effectively with customers addressing queries and providing guidance
on product options and specifications.
Collaboration: Work closely with the design team and other departments to ensure seamless coordination
on orders tenders and projects.
Administration: Perform other administrative duties as required including maintaining records updating
spreadsheets and working with software tools such as First Degree SmartS V6 and PST.
Product Knowledge: Maintain a strong understanding of product offerings including PVC and aluminium
products and work with CAD design software.
Attention to Detail: Ensure all work is carried out meticulously with precision and a focus on delivering
highquality results for every project.
Key Skills & Requirements:
Experience in Estimating: Proven experience estimating for new build developments particularly in
highvolume tenders.
Strong Product Knowledge: Knowledge of PVC aluminium windows doors and roof lanterns is
essential. Familiarity with Eurocell Pinnacle and Guardian Lanterns would be advantageous.
Architectural Drawings: Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings accurately for estimating
purposes.
Software Proficiency: Experience with estimating and processing software such as First Degree SmartS
V6 PST and Excel. Familiarity with CAD design software is a plus.
Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and precision in estimating and order processing.
Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills to liaise with customers and
collaborate with team members.
Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with different departments contributing to the success of the
team.
Experience in the Construction or Manufacturing Industry: Experience in estimating for the
construction or manufacturing industry is a plus.
